Halide Replacement Choices

It's about time to switch my halides and I'm looking for your opinion on 10000k vs 12000k, and 14000k. I currently have 10000k with 2 super vho actinics, but you really don't see much blue when the halides are on. I checked out the site that has a good comparison, but i'm looking for your input.

I love my 14k. Not to blue, not to white/yellow. Its perfect middle ground.

i vote 12k reeflux! do a little research, ill be getting them soon
btw ive seen them in person and they give off some amazing colors (lots of blue for a 12k bulb) and the par they give is pretty good too

I think im about to get some 20k's really.. I love that blue look, its all about preference i guess.. If i can find a 14k that looks real blue i may get that instead

20ks are pretty cool but u gotta keep in mind the more blue the less par!

I only have a 55g so 20k will prob be fine lol

20k isnt guna kill your tank or anything just slower growth is all im sayin...if u want more blue it would be better to add some actinics

I think I might get the 12000 reeflux bulbs. They seem to be just what i'm looking for. I'll probably switch out one of my vho actinics with a daylight bulb too or a 50/50. Anyone use them?

why switch it for a daylight? you have 2 X 250 mh right? thats plenty for a tank of your size, id say keep them as actinics that way you could use them to simulate dusk/dawn
just my opinion tho!

Yeah, that's what I do know. I just wondering if it'll be too blue with 12000 and 2 actincs.

nah ive seen them both with and without actinics and both looked good.... id keep the actinics!
