Tonight after opening my hamster's cage to pet him, I come to find that he lay there not breathing and motionless. I picked him up and found that he was dead. I was crushed. I got him as a gift 3 years ago August. He has been in the same cage and I took care of him myself. I've read that their lifespan is 3 years so I guess I took care of him. R.I.P. Hammy

sorry for your loss, i had a teddy bear hampster named hamlet that lived about 2 years, but he was an adult when i got him, so maybe it was just hammy's time, im sure you took very good care of him and gave him a wonderful life.
