Apparently, the sword from my live-bearer tank is full of good stuff... My plecos are going to town on the section I moved into their tank. I'm much happier with the look of the gourami tank now that it has some more height. The live-bearer tank is looking sorry now tho... I guess I can't win them all. The 2 pieces of sword I left in there should grow out soon enough.
I set up the tank I'm taking to my niece, meaning I took out the guppy and 4 of the platy juvis. This way she can add another fish or two if she wants, and it won't be too much. she just has to get a better top and light. The one right now is a mess, and doesn't work reliably. I just use it to keep the cats out of the tank (its a crappy one that came with the tank...). Once the pleco fry get a bit bigger, I will give her one of them.
I'm going to pick up 2 or so otos from the lfs tonight when I get food. They will go into the live-bearer tank to help the one little guy that's in there now. Then the tank is to capacity...
