Heat from Powerhead and HOB Filter?

I have a small 5.5 gallon tank that's been set up for only a few months. I've just noticed that the temperature of the tank is always room temperature + 11°F.

It's been cold here up until yesterday, so the house was a constant 68°F from house heater. The tank was at 79°F, which I thought was because of the 25W aquarium heater.

Well, we had a sunny day yesterday, and the house went up to 72°F and the tank went up to 83°F. I did an experiment at night, and dropped the house temperature to 65°F and the tank dropped accordingly to 76°F.

Is this from the Aquaclear 10 Powerhead and/or the Aquaclear 20 HOB Filter that are attached to the tank?

If the filters are causing unnecessary heat, I'm concerned when summer comes around and the house gets to 80°F+. It'll mean the tank may shoot up to 91°F.

Anyone have similar issues?

If you are running an Aquaclear 20 on a 5.5 gallon tank, I wouldn't expect you to need a powerhead at all. I'd remove it and see if the temperature becomes closer to what your heater is set for.
I doubt your HOB is adding much heat to the tank, since it's motor windings are outside the tank, and can dissipate much of their heat to the air.
