was just wondering if you could help me decide if i should get a 50watt heater or a 75watt heater for my 75 litre molly tank? it is quite hot here in broome, western australia so we have the aircon on whenever we are home.So the temp flactuates a bit. And if i got the 75watt would that be fine im scared the tank will get to hot ?

50 watts are for 5-15 gallon tanks. 75 watts are for 15-30 gallon tanks. You can go with the 50, but the temperature will be around 72-74F, but with a 75 watt the temperature will stay around 76-80F. Really, it mainly depends on the room temperature. That's why a lot of experienced fish keepers/breeders keep all of their fish tanks in one room.
