Hi this maybe a little weird to ask but can a fully submersible heater burn my fish lol that just sounds crazy to ask.i just added a 75watt to the 20g today I stuck my hand in and felt it and it just feels a bit warm. Ive never used heaters before so i dont realy know, i have it set on 26degrees thats the temp i plan on keeping the tank. So any info on using them would be great. Also the heater didnt come with instructions in the box i thought that was weird. Its pretty self explantatory i think and i hope ive not missed anything. The models an Aqua Nova precision 75watt if any of you have used this model? Oh and another weird question are my plants ok near the heater leaves touching it? Thanks in advance you guys always give me very helpful advice :) (oh yes and i do have a thermometre in the tank im keeping an eye on it)

I have heard of a fish being burned by a heater but I believe it was pinned for a few moments, not just brushing against the heater. Plants I do not know, sorry. Your fish should be ok but if you are worried you can lay the heater down along the back of the tank, they should not really get between it and the glass as often if you position it there.

Your fish can get burned if they are against the heater, but if they are healthy they will avoid getting too close to it. Your plant leaves also can get burned - I'd try to position the plants so leaves do not touch the heater directly.
