I live in Los Angeles and have been a budding aquascaper for the past 3 years. I have had in the past a 10 gallon planted tank and a 55 gallon hex, but had to part with them when I moved.
I’m now comfortably situated and am planning a 40 gallon Amano-style planted tank with angels and tetras. I’m so glad these forums exist! So many great tips, whereas before I was definitely playing the guessing game, like all the time.
I also have two cats whose favorite pastime is sizing up my planted 5 gallon cube and terrorizing my tetras, much to my annoyance. Thank goodness there's a lot of greenery for them to hide in
