ive had a 2-5 gal tank set up before with an algea eater and a beta. the beta was a class pet given to me by my 2nd grade teacher. He lived until around my 4th grade year, around 3 years old. that normal?
Yea 3 years is pretty good for a betta. Smaller fish do normally have a shorter lifespan so if you were able to keep him alive for that long thats good.
i had him in the tank im using now. its a 2-5 gal. not positive but i think it a 5gal. beta tanks seemed a little too small. needless to say he had room.
