Not sure if this will help

Ok, I'm sorta a newbie myself, although I have had aquariums of various sizes for 20+yrs(off more than on). I would try an antibacterial agent next, combined with the ick cure(unless otherwise stated). If you don't know what you're dealing with cover all bases. I recently(just last week) had a problem that I wasn't sure if it was fungus or parasite so I treated for both. I lost my older male platy, but the female is now recovering. I think if I had acted with the two pronged approach more quickly, I'd still have both fish. Good Luck!

Was the 10 Gallon cycled? If not, you may want to move him to his own little hospital tank.

When my betta had Ick, I used Aquarisol daily. I also added aquarium salt to the water. It is said that raising the temperature of the water will also help but I wasn't able to. But he did recover and is doing well.

Perhaps a moderator would know more though.

Best Wishes,
cj

You might want to try a wider spectrum med ... although it almost certainly is ich. I might suggest Kordon's Rid-Ich+. I have had excellent success with it for myself and friends' tanks. Just follow the mfr's directions to the letter.
