i over estimated the baffles and its too high... i dont want to take it out since im almost out of silicone...

i was planning to add teeth or holes to lower it.

is there any tools that is safe to cut or drill it?

i might just ask my uncle for his router...as my last option..

the tank is 8" high and is 20" long...6"wide

the baffles are 6"....big mistake :(

so theres about 1" of room

i should have gave it at least 3" just incase the power goes out...

i might cut it out with razer blades and ask the guy at osh to cut 2" off it.

or some how drill some nice big holes or teeth on it.

Yes it will only rise in that section, unless it overflows that first section. Depends on how much water drains down.

If you try to put teeth in it, you'll need a dremel and an assistant to hold the hose for you. Too much work in my opinion. It would be easier just to get it recut.
