Help, Black Algea!!!

I have got the worst bloom possible of black algea!! How the h*ll did I get this? It has killed all of my coral (at least I think this is the culprit; I am posting this and then doing some research.) My are doing alright but all of my corals are gone and there is black algea everywhere. I know from work that you have to clean it off and that is what I did. I saw it starting on the sand and on the side of the tank. I would clean it off and net out the peices everytime I saw it there. Now its on my rock and everything! What do I do? It has just gotten way out of hand. Please someone help!!

lots of water changes, run some carbon and give your water parameters so we can futher help.

Sounds like it may be cyanobacteria!

Well I did a water change and turned up my powerheads and protien skimmer (advice I got from someone local) and it seems to be clearing up. We'll see.

what are your water params? that could account for all your dead "coral" as well.
