I think 5 looks best. I like how the focal point becomes the stump.. My eyes then go right towards the other wood.

It will be loaded with plants. Waiting on Amazonian substrate & my water to cycle. It will be a SA biotope mainly of the Amazon.

IMO I think you need to put the cut side of the left piece down so it looks more natural then it will have a little arch for fish to swim through. Is it possible to put the forks on the right piece down so it looks like the roots of the stump are still in the substrate when you add it?

A filter with good bacteria is sitting on the right side if you can see it. I am just doing the normal fishless cycle, by adding pure ammonia.

I would of put my substrate in, but I am waiting on it to come in. The water is a tainted from the tannins in the wood.. Most of that should flush out after my full water change when the cycle is done. I did boil the wood before hand, but its big & alot of of it so I am not surprised some tannins leaked into the water. I should see some nitrites when i come home today(i hope) the water has been in there for a week.

The cut side of the left one is down. Its nearly flat on the bottom and kinda ugly looking.

The piece on the right will flip one another way. I will take some more pics tonight and update this post.

what about combining the 2 together and put on one side then you could maybe add a smaller piece on the left/right or a couple smaller pieces on the left/right and then do your planting when that is all ready. kinda like when you go down to a river and look at the driftwood its all tangled up together then looks like one large piece with many areas to swim thru and everything.

I was talking about the flat side that has the little leg on it. It looks like a high heel when you put it like I suggest. I think the one on the left would look killer if it was coming from the left corner with the leg down so it made the arch Putting the big flat side its on now toward the back to hide it. Those must be gigantic pieces. They make the 125 look like a 55gal!! What kind of fish are you doing?
