Hi there. Power went off for just a few minutes and the new eheim now has air in it and is making a racket. Have searched for advice on this to no avail. It's an Eheim 2215 so it does not have that priming pump thing. What do I do now. Please advice. Thanks.

I tired that three times. It still makes a loud rattling noise like it is filling up and struggling to work right. Then a big burst of air and water come out of the spray bar or output and it does this repeatedly. HELP, please.

make sure she's not sucking air through a joint

that whoosh of bubbles is the air coming out - so smile when you hear it

try shaking the bugger (gently) this can encourage more air through the impellor well

as long as it's whooshing bubbles - then just let it run - it'll settle out

OCC. It was running for less than a week, power went off and then this very big noise with restart for hours, not just a few minutes. Tried closing the output several times.

this morning, I emptied the water and restarted the whole thing. Now, no big noise but only a trickle of output. Before when it was working, I was definitely getting the cycle of that breathing section with the white thing going up and down. Now that white thing is not going up and down. It's frustrating as I know it is ME that is doing something wrong. Argh. Thanks

You mean the small tubey thing on the side with the white plastic thing??? HOW THE HECK DO I GET WATER OUT OF THERE?? LOL. It appeared empty to answer your question but not 100% sure. There probably was a bit of water in there.

Okay. Here's the update. Emptied it again on Sunday and did so very thoroughly. Tubes, filter, everyhting was water free. Restarted. Had little pressure and the breathing white thingey wasn't moving. By this morning, it seems to be back in sync.
The cycle of "breathing" is going fine and there's pressure again. God, these things can be frustrating to get going. So, I guess it's all better. Thanks for your help. Nice knowing my tales of woe get an LOL from somone who's bee there. LOL

THANK YOU
