Help! Fish got stuck to filter rod and now seems to be dying!

My little tri-fin goldfish got sucked up against the filter rod - probably in the night sometime. I was able to get her off but now she is floating around. She is still alive but seems very tired and she wont eat. I have her in a separate bowl to rest so she doesn't get sucked up against the rod again but I don't know what else I should do for her. Any suggestions?

Fish can easily escape the current that draws the water into a filter. It sounds like there was something already wrong with the fish. What sized aquarium do you keep the goldfish in? Is the aquarium cycled? What are the readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?
