I got a question. my brother moved out of the house and left me to tend to his 30 gallon fish tank. there aboout 10+fish. types of catfish in it and 1 female betta. I have to feed them but i dont know who i should feed them. my brother says that too much feeding could polute the water and i dont want to do that. so when and how much should i feed them?

I wouldnt mind a quick response :D

thanks.

i would feed the catfish once or twice a day as much as they will eat in 3 minutes if there is any of the food left on the bottom scoop it out with the net and just feed less next time this should give you an idea of how much to feed

what are you feeding your betta? if it's betta bio-gold i would give her like 2-3 pellets 2 times a day

good luck  *thumbsupsmiley*

There's scads of different things out there, too many to name.  We personally keep a little variety in the diet of our fish.  We use regular tetra min flakes and pellets, freeze-dried and frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms, as well as spirulina and brine shrimp flakes.  All of them are loved by bettas, bottom feeders get to them eventually and gobble them right down as well.  Just find some things that the fish like and keep the variety and things should go well.
