Hey folks,

Picked up a new (to me) tank yesterday, it came with two residents I'm trying to identify... The previous owner believes they are cichilids...

HTTP://members.shaw.ca/mandyandandy/DSC00001.JPG  is a really bad picture, but you get the idea... From searching all night and this morning, it looks closest to a Lemon Cichilid (but the face is wrong, and fins are a little different from the pics I found)

I've seen them at pet stores many times... Just never paid much attention to them. Of course the stores are closed today!

Any ideas?

Andy

does not look like a lemon(lake tanganyika), looks more like a lake Malawi species.

Looks like a female Pseudotropheus estherae

They are orange to red in color. There are many kinds of morphs, but your looks like one.
