When I got little Boris he was dark in colour and sold as a common pleco.
But now he's getting lighter and when he comes up to the glass to show off his fins, they're spotted.

But recently he's been acting very nervous.
Seems to hate any light and will shoot around the tank when I turn it on..
Also he seems to have red-ish/white blotches on him..
I thought it was ick but its got a red tint my camera doesnt like to friggin show.

Ill try to get a photo if he stops hiding..
Im kind of worried.

edit: He came out, heres the pics:

Hopefully some others with more pleco knowledge will hop in, but he doesn't look terrible to me. His tummy doesn't look sunken in, and he looks a bit lighter than either of mine are, but they are also against dark backgrounds and substrates. Plecos are more active at night, and it totally makes sense that he's nervous about the light. Its possible that he's stressed out a bit. Does he have a cave and some driftwood that he can get away from the light? Do you feed him some algae tablets or anything to supplement his diet or is there plenty of algae in there for him to eat?

Yeah someone on here was saying to drop in a sinking algae tablet at night so he can get at it before the other fish.
So I do that nightly now, and wow has he grown fast since I started doing that.

..and he became a poop machine!

I got him this to hide in, he hardly leaves it:

But I know hes getting too big for this tank, so Im betting he's stressed out a bit.
But hes moving in to my 30g in two days.
