Hi all.

I just got a clown loach and want to find a cave for him (or her - not sure)

Right now he has a log he hides under, but I'd prefer a small cave as my cories like to hide in the log too.

Been looking at walmart, petco and two local fish stores and can't find one. I looked the last half hour on google and am not finding much either.

Basically I am looking for a 4-6 inch diameter and maybe 2-4' tall round cave with a hole or two in it. I've seen some online but they are fluorescent yellow or other bizarre color. I tired for a matural look in my tank with brown gravel and plants. I don't want to ruin the look with a yellow cave.

Anyone know of a source that might have a basic ceramic or plastic round cave that is brown, grey or at least more natural looking.

Thanks :)

You could make your own cave using River rock and Slate..... And using aquarium safe silicone to glue them together .... I have made several and use them in my tanks... also make and sell them at a LFS here where I live .... if you have have any Questions... please email me and I will send you some pics of them

or i have been told...havent tried yet but will soon....that you could take a pvc pipe or such and use the aquarium safe silicone to coat it and roll it in some of your rock you currently use...then pile it around the pipe like a cave in a mountain....just a suggestion

yeah mom.

you biffed it.

:)

the aquarium sil./river rocks looks really great.

just make sure you don't use any medication with methlyne blue (is that what it is?), or it will stain the silicone, and everything plastic in your tank...blue.
