I have two 7 inch silvertip sharks (columbian catfish) that have both stopped eating, it has been 9 days now. They have two large tinfoil barbs and a pleco as tank mates and they eat great. Has anyone heard of this problem with these fish???

I have a 75 gallon tank, all water parameters are fine. I do keep a little bit of salt in the tank, please help!

First off not to be rude but you only need to poet things once. As far as them not eating. Are you sure they arent eating after you walk away or when the lights are out??? Some fish wait till the lights are out and then go scavanging. Are their stomaches suken in??? Also what do you feed???

Hello, I’m completely new to this forum , but yes I do have the same problem. Columbian sharks are supposed to be very good eaters. However my Columbian shark is 2 years old and has been a shy eater almost all his life. When I purchased him as a juvenile he would go into a feeding frenzy as soon as food hit the water. Now the only time I ever see him eat is if I happen to catch him swimming near the heater, I then toss some food near his head and sometimes, not always, he’ll eat it. He has been this way for over a year and a half and is still very healthy, I would only worry if you notice his belly sunken inward. He’s in a community tank (135G) with two angel fish two Bala Sharks four Silver Dollars one Dojo Loach and two Synodontis Unknown.
