doh, you may want to post this in the cichlid forum because I know cichlidman is always on there and he's the guy who would know. Just be sure to say what kind of cichids they are, ie egg layers, mouthbrouders.....

c-man may see this. c-man come out, come out whereever you are.....

I ave a marmalade and a yellow lab. Not sure about the marmalade, she has been showing signs for approximately 2 weeks now. the lab has been carrying for just a few days.

Or you can ask a mod to move it :) (moved and combined with your other thread) Cman might know...if he's not around see if Orion knows. Until someone gets to you its always a good idea to keep doing your own research, maybe try www.google.com and see what you can find on your fish. A lot of times if you find a good article about your fish it'll have info on breeding.

Sorry was away for the weekend. Hmm...

I know Africans will sometimes get breeding crazy and the males will bully the females trying to get them to breed again when they are carrying. The best thing i could tell you to do is to move one or the other (male or females) to another tank or divide the tank you have. I would move the males if possible to keep the stress off the females.

After a few weeks of holding you can choose to strip her (settle down guys ;) lol) which i find pretty tricky or to let her spit the fry on her own. About this time before she spits i would put her somewhere, where you can easily gain access to the eggs to ensure their survival.

Hope i helped...some. Lotus posted a good link, as those are the real pros writing that stuff.
