HELP! My male Blue jewel is acting weird!

Last night i was feeding them and my male Blue jewel cichlid started to rub itself upagainst my decorations. All of the fry(which are the same size and the red jewel fry who are 2 weeks older) are doing great and the mom. Does anybody know what meds to get for him or will this go away by itself??

P.S. the Jewel fry from both pairs will be for sale soon, and the angel fry are just starting to swim so a little longer for them.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. My cichlids will do that from time to time too.

Ok cause i don't want him to die cause i am wanting to breed them again

Do a water change, raise the temp a little bit. Scratching up against like that could possibly mean the start of Ich...or it could just be an itch...never know.

could be gill flukes or ... i think its called... idk, but its a type of flukes
