Help...New Filter !

Ok I just bought a 70 gal. tank today from a friend. The tank has a built back filter. But my friends did not like it. So they purchased a "Cascade" canister filter. I have the in and out lines hooked up correctly. There are not any kinks in the lines, and the valves are open! I also filled the canister with water! When I plug in the filter it's making a normar noise but it's not sucking in water and letting the water back out.

Any other suggestions?
They did not have the instruction booklet still!!!

I figured it out !
I went to the web site for the canister and found out what I was doing wrong!!!!!

Yeah, I finally have my 70 gal. going!!!!

I'll post some photos tomorrow !
I'm very proud of my self right now!!!!
