I have a 10 gallon tank that I put up about 5 months ago... I started with 4 guppies, I now have one guppy. The others died from what I later found out was fin/tail rot. So, I do my weekly water changes and I am not sure if they are working. So, today I went and bought test strips to check the nitrates and ammonia... Well, the colors I got do not match the colors on the chart that you compare it to. On the chart the nitrates are pink, on my strips they are green. As for the ammonia it may match a little but not close enough that I can tell. The kit I used was the Sentry Mardel Mini Master 5 in 1 + ammonia test kit. I do not want to waste any more money so what should I do next?
