Help: Shrimp trying to get out of water

I moved my shrimp to another tank (cycled already), and some of them have been swimming frantically for a few hours. There's one RCS in particular that keep trying to get out of the water by going against the water flow of the HOB filter. Is there something wrong? I did a very large water change before putting the shrimp in the new tank.

the cold water will have them do that. also hot water will do that to them. basically shrimp act crazy if the water is different then what they've been housed in so just wait for them to settle down and hope for the best...and cover your tank lol.

I had a Bamboo shrimp climb into my HOB trying to feed in the water coming out of the filter. Everything in the back of my tank is now Saran wrapped and hopefully shrimp proof.

Have you checked your water parameters? Like fish, they'll try to escape if they're not within reason (as far as they're concerned).

RCS are fairly hardy but as with all shrimp they don't take particularly well to any ammonia or nitrite in the water...
