I sure hope someone can help me!!

I have a small 5 gallon tank with 2 mollies that are about 5 months old and then I have a small net breeder with a bunch of little babies that are a month old.

One of my orange 5 month old mollies was swimming in circles REALLY fast last night and it almost looked like its body was bent in half from swimming in cirlces so much.

Well today she is on the bottom of the tank moving really slow and I know she's sick. She looks like she's not going to make it much longer. Her eyes do look like they are popping out a little bit. I don't really see any spots on her that aren't normally there.

What should I go get to put in the tank if she is sick??
Will it hurt the small babies I have???

HELP!!
I don't want her to die because I've had her since she was only a few weeks old!!

How often do you do water changes and when was the last one? I think a 5 gallon is probably way too small for those fish...and water quality plays a big role in your fish's health.

Does the sick one seem to be eating at all?

I have to agree on the tank size, I would suggest at least 10gal for a pair of mollies. Nextly I suspect from the factthat her eyes look like they are popped out, that there could be a bacterial problem. Do a masive water change, I suggest adding salt to the tank, if you already don't (1tbs per five gallons), and if that doesn't help within a day or so, try Melafix, or Primafix. Theseare both natural extract that won't hurt anyone else in the tank.
Remember, with all the babies in the tank, they are adding to the load on the filtration so water changes will have to come more and more often as they grow. A second tank to grow the fry in will also help.
Good luck, and I hope your mollies gets better.

Yeah I'll be moving all the babies into a 10 gallon this weekend.

The two mollies aren't full grown yet so I thought they would be ok in the 5 gallon but if not I'll move them out too. We have an 80 gallon tank in our basement that was my husbands and its just taking up space. I wanted to set that up but he's afraid the water temp won't be high enough for them because its in the basement. It seems like if we used the right heaters it should be able to keep the right temp.

I do use the aquarium salt and I do change the water but its been around 2 weeks since I changed out some of the water. I'll definitely go do that now. Plus I think I'll go set up the 10 gallon so I can move the little babies into there.

Thanks!
