one of my bolivian rams looks skimmer and darker than the other one. yesterday it was swimming right at the surface, I put it in a quarantine tank. today it is on the bottom and it is hard for him to move. what it might be...? :confused:

water parameters are ph=8, nitrites=0, nitrates=4, ammonia = 0
I have rams for about 6 weeks

:) One of my Golden rams and one of my Blue rams had the same thing as your Bolivian Ram. If something happens to it like it dies then you can buy a new one, but if it doesn't die put some of that slime stuff in the tank or here is a website that might help you with that illnese http://faq.thekrib.com/disiese-fw.html. I hope this help you with your problem and i hope your fish will survive his illnease*SICK*

sorry i forgot the name of it, you know how fish have that slime coating aroud them like for example Discus have it, well i ment to buy some of that. Here is the name of it, well it is not really slime but here it is:"TetraAqua Easybalance" it says it eliminates frequent water changes, also it does:
1.Keeps water biologically balanced for 6 months
2.Stabalizes pH and alkalinity(KH) levels vital for fish and plants
3.Reduces phosphate levels for impoved water quality
Sorry about the "slime thing" i forgot what it was called so i just put that. Hey check out my thread on Breeding tips, just search for Breeding and then look for one started by Silver Dollars. *PEACE!*

this thing "TetraAqua Easybalance" ... if i get it right, keep water fresh, reduce nitrate and ph level. but my water has ph 8, nitrate 4...

...should I use it...

just want to refresh my story...

That ram died about 3 weeks ago.

the big problem that the second Ram (was perfrctly healthy) yesterday started to show same signs as the first one. It became darker, slimmer, there is something like socket/dent(sorry do not know better word) and it swimms at the inclined angle, head up

I am warry a lot about him.
Please reply if you have seen something like this
