Yes the horrizontal line on the side does look more like P. crabro, that and the marking on the face area are more pronounced in yours, and P. crabro where as in the P. lombardoi the face marking is almost non existant.

Also the P. crabro has a tinge of blue at the top of the dorsal fin where the lombardoi does not. And in your picture, it does look like there is some blue coloration at the top of the dorsal.

I have two kenyi and am currently researching alot trying to determine the sex of mine. Ive seen alot of pictures.. I have one blue and one yellow. They are all blue when young and the males turn yellow as they mature.

If it was the same color when young, this could help...
My guess is that its a cross breed... it has good kenyi coloring, but the bone structure is different.

PS thanks for that link.. Im looking for all the Kenyi info I can.
