I have a fairy wrasse and I have him in with a dogface puffer, porcupine puffer, panther grouper, yellow tang and a snowflake eel. This is a 110 gal. with live rock and live sand and no problems
It should be fine in a community, although that genus does occasionally pick on small shrimp or fan worms, etc. It won't pick corals, and needs a sand substrate in which to sleep.
yes some wedge themselves into a rock crevice to sleep. My clowns wrap themselves in the anemone tentacles and I have seen most of my fish buried deep in the live rock napping.....
this wrasse has similar markings to my old christmas wrasse ... it may sound cool that he burries himself at night that is until he stirs up sand on every coral on the lower half of the tank and u end up having to use a turkey baster daily to squirt the sand off everything thanks but no thanks ... i ended up trading mine for some corals oh yea and u can kiss your snails good by
