Help with my new red tailed black shark please :)

Hi there, the other day we went out and bought a Red tailed black shark hes about 2 inches long or so.. they had them out back cause they said they were having a copper problem and they are sensative to them, so I didnt get to see them all. the lady brought me out one to take home. but hes very dull gray and barely a red tail. has gotten a little more red since hes been home with us and a tad bit darker. but what else can I do... is he unhealthy?? he seems very relaxed and happy in his new tank. and is eating.

I have no experience specifically with red tail sharks, but I know with many other fish they are faded when they first are put in a new environment. Bettas really brighten up after a few days or weeks and so do my serpaes.
