Ok, I am not sure if I am doing this corretly, but I need help. I am restarting a 10 gallon saltwater tank. It appears to have cycled, all levels are now at 0. However, I have this nasty white slime all over my tank and I have lost the two small fish that I have put into the tank. How do I get rid of this nasty slime?

Thank you for moving me into the correct forum.
I went and spoke to someone with knowledge of saltwater tanks. He stated that the slime is caused due to overheating the tank. My tank is at the top of the green zone and I am told it should be at the bottom. I will reduce the temp and see if that gets rid of the slime. My tank has cycled and even with the slime, the levels are zero. That will change, because I was told that the slime is dead bacteria caused by the overheating. I apprieciate any help with this and advice. Has anyone else cooked their tank?

this is one of the problems with small tanks. They tend to fluctuate widely when they have issues.......cool it down, do a major water change and see where you end up.
