Last night(July 11) I added my 5 and a half inch(including tail)pleco, with 3 goldfish(each about 2in. long)
to a 15 gal. tank. This morning I noticed that the 3 goldfish where in the front corner of the tank not swimming around like they usually do. They still eat but they aren't swimming around the tank happily like they were b4 I added the pleco. What should I do?

P.S the goldfish were already in the tank 4 about 2 weeks b4I added the pleco.

um...three goldfish and a large pleco in a 15gallon tank sounds pretty overstocked. goldfish are really 'messy' fish.

Have you tested your water for ammonia/nitrites/nitrates?

Have there been any temperature fluxuations? Goldies dont like warm water...

Goldfish usually require 10 gallons per fish (I know we've all grown up with the goldfish in the bowl, but thats simply not healthy for them)

What type of pleco is this? Most pleco's are tropical while the goldfish is a cold water fish, so this may not be the best arrangement.

Aside from all that, they may just be freaked out at this large "other thing" in the tank with them.

I concur with all the above, you're well overstocked. Plecos are not the best companions for goldies, my guess is that your goldies are scared stiff of that new "monster" that's turned up.

honestly? i think you should remove everything if you want them to stay alive, plecos grow to be 18 inches and will probably grow quicker than you think. The goldfish grow HUGE and live for years and years and thats simply not going to happen in a 15 gallon tank. Oh and dont be fooled by "they only grow as big as the tank", they either don't and carry on growing or they do and die a lot quicker because of a stunted growth. sorry to sound like im wripping apart your tank.
