HELP !!

Hi, i need urgent help on what is up with my fish, my platys and my female guppy are all at the top of hat water just where the filter intake is on my juwel filter, are they on their way out ???? i do not want my platies to die, thay are my most prized fish, so whats up ???????????/

what is the top of the hat water? Just like floating near the top?


Do you know what your paramaters are in your tank? Maybe your tank didnt fully cycle beofre they were added?

soz i meant the top of the water.... i just went back to my tank now, and one of the platys is dead

Are the other fish still laboring? And is their anyway you could check your paramaters?

i tested the water.... everything is ok, i think that this may be an aoutbreak of dropsy

when you say "everything is OK" it might help to post what your levels are.

Whats the temperature? Did something get into the tank? When was the last time you did a water change?

the nitrite is like ... i dont now what its supposed to be reading when its good, but its yellow when i test it and that means good on the chart...pH is like at 7.7

it looks to me like your tank is overstocked--you are probably dealing with sort of ammonia problem
