i woke up this morning to find my gold severum has laid alot of eggs on my driftwood. my problem is that i move tomorrow and was planning on draining the tanks partially for the move. its only a 10-15 min drive. can i take the driftwood out and put it into another tank w/o killing the eggs? they are fertilized because they are yellowish. i dont see any fungus or dead white ones. thanks in advance for your help.

If they are fertilized then exposing them to air will most likely kill them. As long as you keep them submerged in water at all times and the temp consistent they should be fine.

They aren't necessarily fertilized. It takes a day or two before they start to turn white and rot; for the first little bit they look normal. Do you have a male severum in the tank?

awoke on saturday but eggs were ...ummm.. eaten. and yes male was in the tank.
