hermit crabs

i just bought some liverock and got two hermit crabs with it. i have tryed looking to find out what they eat and found out that they eat algee. is that all they eat? and do i have too buy any food for them or will they just live off they live liverock?

depends on what other things are stocked in your tank, and how long it has been cycling for,

i have had the tank up and running for 4-5 weeks now. i got 1 Anemone 1 soft coral and 1 segar clown in it

If there is insufficient algae, the diet should be supplemented with dried seaweed, tablet foods, and earthworms.

but this is only for the common hermit, do you know which one yours is.

thanks for that link, found the one i got "Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab" and i think they will be ok just living off the sand and live rock
