Welcome to the tank!

I just want to tell everyone thanks for the welcome. My son and I both share the same interest with our fish and honestly he has taught me what I need to know, but when he's not with me I forget or wait until he's here. For instance today I needed to top off the tank and usually he uses an RO unit, well I don't know how to use it so I used tap water, so my question is will I hurt our fish?

welcome to mft Usually a little bit of dechlorinated tap water isn't going to screw with a ton of stuff, unless your tap water is REALLY bad. There's probably a reason to be using RO water though (high nitrates in tap or extreme pH etc)
