My albino tiger oscar has been sitting on the tank floor since this morning and i'm beginning to get worried. I did a %30 water change last night and kicked up some dust too. I put AquaSafe, too. Somebody have an idea? The other oscar is fine, it even looks as though he's trying to comfort my albino. Anybody....

I'll try to test for those things soon. The tank is a 29 gal. and the oscar is a around 3 in. Its got another oscar, 4 in., 7 common goldfish, 1-2 in., 1 small pleco, 2 small fiddler crabs, and a male betta. It also has some bacopa, a sword, several bronze wendtii, and a couple of red arrowhead. And I'm running a 20-40 AquaTech. I've just started making progress from a white cloudy tank, too. Hes doing a little better now that I made a small water change, but still on the floor. I'm using a full dose of AquaSafe, half dose of QuickCure, everyday. And at the beginning, a full dose of aqua. salt.

I had a sickly acting severum and I netted him in a breeder net, added an air stone and lots of circulation - placed it by the filter output. Certainly didn't hurt and the fish improved. Besides checking the levels, it's not a bad idea if you can manage it.

oscars are well-known for their laziness in the aquarium and it is not uncommon for them to appear sickly when they are just behaving normally, so check your parameters and if they are fine, i wouldnt worry too much:) .

that tank is way too small for 2 oscars. ther is not enough oxagen in the wtaer and he is sluggish and immobile because of it. my oscars did that when they were little and i kept them in a 25 cube tank. as soon as i noticed the behavior, i bought a 55g. they have lived there ever since

They ain't that big, 3-4 in. inna 29 gal. They're still on a diet of TetraSelect flakes and Hikari mini pellets! Besides, even though I don't got a bio wheel, the water gets pretty well agitated and circulated. He's doing better after I did a small water change and added a little salt, I think I had one, two many nitrites in there. I'll do another small change tomorrow too. But I'm going to have a bigger tank soon.

And you got 2, almost, full grown oscars in a 55 gal. tank?! How many more oscars could I put in my coming soon 90 gal. Doomhed?
