it will prob never sink.  get a peice of flat slate rock, drill a hole in it and screw the driftwood to the slate.  the slate will weigh the driftwood down and then push your substrate around the slate, further ancoring it down.  eventually it may become water loged enought to stay down on its own, but not in the near future..  hope that helps, and welcome to our tank, and happy fishin'

Just wondering for when I get my bits of wood.

What is the process for new pieces of wood before adding them into a tank. I am about to buy and setup a new 125L tank and want to add some wood.

cheers for any help

boil it for 30min, let it cool, add some weight to it, ie drilled rock, (see above post from me) and then add it  to the tank, thats it..
