would this be any good for multi tank clean ups im not going to use it for a "main" filter for my tanks just like a monthly thing i just saw it it looks cool but im not sure if a reg. canister thing diatom thing would work better or something

i'm not sure what your obsession with diatom filters. is a magnum hot or magnum 350 both offer micron polishing and the micron filter can be cleaned and reused quite a few times.diatom filters are hard to use,overrated and overpriced.the model you have linked is a paticularly crappy model.when i worked in a lfs we used one of those and it never worked right.peice of junk
