A while back, I read a thread where someone said thier cichlid wasnt eating and it looked like it's throut was swollen. Someone else replyed that it was probably holding fry. Ok...so this morning my fish is acting exactlyt hat way, Not eating (though he(she?) watched the food intently) and his (her) throut looks swollen.
The problem is, it CANT be pregnent, because its the only fish in the tank...I havent even moved my snails out of quarentine yet...
So what's up with my fish?

This is the same fishy I have had since january C-Man. Nope, no pics...Dont have a digi-camera,, so the chances of me ever getting pics of my fish are pretty slim. But yeah, I watched it pretty closely this morning...definitly not eating, and besides that, he (she?) is acting more flightly then usual...it darts into its plant, or rock holes if I get too close to the tank...it doesnt usualy do that, most days, it doesnt care where I am, and will even come to the top and eat out of my hand, so its behavior is definitly different.

Amonia is zero, Nitrites are zero, NitrAtes are, as usualy, around 25 mg/l...Nothing has changed. My tap water starts at 12 mg/l anyway, and I am due for a water change, but the nitrates arent THAT high....Blue lived with them like that in his old tank constanly...remeber? I posted about not being able to keep them down.
