anyone ever have a Horse-Faced Loach? I just got 2 0f them along with 3 leopard Danios...the loaches are cool but VERY fearful...one is buried under the gravel (which is normal) and the other is hiding in a plant...I read that stress can very easily kill these fish...

Hopefully they will like their new home and be less stressed!!

Thx

I LOVE MY HORSE FACED LOACH. Feed em frozen bloodworms - took me a long while to figure this out. The other day I tossed in a froz bworm cube and found horse faced up on the 1/2 clay pot chowing away. They do hide for a while but come out after getting used to the tank. I think they look so cool. Don't try catching him/them ever again - especially if you have plants. They are fast and a bit shy.

thx dana...I know what you mean about catching them...they just dig into the gravel...LOL...I was watching the person at my LFS and it took her 5 minutes to catch just one!! They are more active now they they are settling down...I watched them a little last night when the lights went out...they were ALL OVER the tank!! One still seems a little shy in the light but the other is much less timid...they are so cool!!! I want to get a dwarf pleco to finish off my cleaning crew and then get some color in the tank with the danios

good luck and keep us posted or me specifically :) about your horsies. I love em although I am wondering if my tank is a bit cloudy because he digs and burrows, stirring things up. anyone ideas about this?
