Just wondering how I can slowly lower my PH. I have live plants and I would like to use either RO water or the new 3 in 1 chemical. Just needing to know how to not kill my fish but to eventually get it down from an 8.6 to a 7 ph.

I will use a chemical but if I drop my PH to fast I will have a good chance in killing my fish. What Im looking for is a slow method of dropping my PH.

Help me to understand the live plants part. Are you saying you have live plants that require a low PH?

Don't use chemicals! If you have RO water available that is best. Just during you water changes you mix in an increasing amount of RO per water change.
