How do i treat fin rot?

When i went to check my tank today i noticed one of my long finned rosy barbs has what seems to be bad fin rot (though it hadn't been that apparent yesterday). I've set up a hospital tank and put the barb in but I'm not sure how to treat it. Also could my other barbs have fin rot, if so what do i do?

Appreciate your help, i desperately want to do the best i can for them.

It may just be damage rather than rot - one of my Sevs has a fin that's suddenly looking like that, but I know if it's appeared overnight and only one fin on one fish is affected, then it's probably been in a scrap.

But treatment is simple enough - and fast too - just remember to take out any carbon you may have in your filter for the duration of the treatment.

If it is fin rot, then keep an eye on your water quality - it's often the cause of it.

I've added a fin rot and anti-fungal treatment to the hospital tank, and some to the main tank (just in case) after removing the carbon bag from my filter. I just have to wait an see now.
