like how much is the cost of 440w's or 160w's per month and how would you figure it out id imagine ud do: (w x time)31=amount of watts a month and then how much does a w go into a kw?

so a 440w light would mean 136400watts a month? at 10 hours a day unless watts on a bulb arent based on hourly? lol if some one could give some info id love to figure out how much my future set up is gonna cost me a month

160w would be 49600watts

well there are 1000 watts= 1 kw
and with national grid you pay any were from 3-4 cents per kw
so running 440watt light system 10 hours a day for 31 day= 136.5 kw at a max of 4 cents per kw would run you around $6.85 a month no more than running your pc

thanxs waybe i forgot about the ballast so its still not to exspensive to run your light especially if yoiu have corals that are growing and u can clip them and sell them the lights will pay for them self or if it sets it up better for matting your fish

Compared to electric heating , tumble driers , air con, even 400 watt lights don't look that bad. (Actually 400's do, but almost noone really needs them).

What wattage do PC's draw now - 200, I know cpus can easy draw 150+ by themselves.
