how long till angels get big?

i just got my first two angels yesterday, there bodys are about a size of a quarter or so... how long untill they get full size?

not long mine took about 6 months to tripple in size, and they were half dollar sized when i bought them, they were in a 30 gallon bowfront tank.

Young ones kept in optimal conditions normally reach breeding size in about 6-8 months. Diet, temp and water quality all can effect the growth rate.

I had gotten my six angels in Dec.,05 they were dime size, got two pearlscales in late Feb. 06 they were quarter size. Six of them had paired up in April (the other two were males, lfs took them), now they breed like crazy. Just be careful when they do, my one pair does kill every thing in the tank. I had lost a very beloved fish because of their protection.*SICK* Just remember, Angels are Cichilds too.

Because of how agressive they get the 2 spawning pairs I have, I let them keep a 55 gal to themselves. Well the only other fish in the tank is a few plecos I am grownig out, but even they get piced on from time to time if they get to close to the eggs.
