How many corys?

I bought two skunk corys today to add to my 38 gallon tank. Should I have gotten more or will they keep each other happy? If my fish ain't happy, ain't nobody gonna be happy! Thanks.

they like to be in threes if you have the room but i have just one in a 10 and hes happy

i have two tail spot cories and they seem to keep each other in good company

With cories the more the merrier. I am currently down to 2. My jack keeps killing them off..... Bad Boy Jack... I have had as many as 6 in a 55 and they were fasinating to watch them school.

I currently have 4 adult and 1 baby in a 20 gallon and they are great together...they all protect & "mother" the baby cory, all watching out for it and making sure it eats enough, it's really funny to watch...I had only my emerald for a while, and he was ....ok I guess, but when I added the others he's now much happier..they do tend to do better in groups.

Diffenetly a cool fish to have a lot of 2 is much better than one but they would like a few more buddys like 2 more. I have 8 corys.

Cories definately like to be in groups, so the more the merrier. Depending on how many fish you already have, I say add at least 4 more. Did you read the sticky about corydoras?

the corys i have

60gal:

5 sterbai (2 adult, 3 mid sized)
3 albino adult
3 emerald (2 adult, 1 mid sized)
1 bronze
2 panda

30gal
2 bronze cories that i've had for several weeks now. my lfs had gotten them as a trade in. they were in a tank with aggressive fish that nipped off their top fins. other than sword frys, they are the only fish in a nice planted 30 gal tank. one has about 95% regenerated fin where the other has about 60%. i've used some melafix but they have really done well. when i first got them, they each had about 25% of their fins if less.

corys are fine in pairs but are happiest in groups of 4+
