I have a 30 gallon, so far I have 3 platy, 2 mollies, 2 zebra and a bottom feeder. As well as 2 babies about 2 months old and 4 baby mollies about a month old (in a breeder tank). How many fish is a good amount for the size of my tank?

You do have room for more fish, provided you have a plan for the livebearer babies. They will continue to breed. Mind you, if you just let nature take its course, other fish will eat a lot of the fry, but you may still end up with some survivors, and then they breed, and so on.
I don't like the old 1 inch per fish rule of thumb. I think your tank stocking is entirely dependent on what kind of fish you plan to keep. One resource is AqAdvisor - while it may not be deadly accurate, it's a good place to start. You can enter the kinds of fish you want and it will give you a reading on your stocking level. You can also ask us about a specific stocking plan - we'll gladly provide our feedback.
