How many of you have seen a BLACK PARADISE GOURAMI

I have two Black Paradise Gouramis. I got them from a local family run pet shop. When I talk to other places, ie. Petsmart about them they have never heard, nor seen a black paradise. Just wondering if anybody knows about these fish, or if anybody has them.

the camera doesn't show his true color. He is black to the naked eye. The flash from the camera on the glass and the background behind the tank reflects onto his scales and shows a bluish tint.

i have heard of them but never seen them in a lfs. i know i was on a web site that sold live fish and they had them for sale. i can't remember what site though. i do know that they are hard to find.

Wow, nice looking fish. I don't remember ever seeing one. I will have to check the next time I'm at the lfs.

I've been back to the LFS a few times and haven't seen any more of these beautiful fish. I picked up my second, smaller one a week or two after I got my big one (pictured). They seem to be very hardy, obviously the larger male is territorial and is dominant over the smaller one. I am moving from a 10 gallon tank to a 46 gallon within the next few weeks. I will be looking to make a few new additions to the tank. Any Suggestions?
