how many snails would you/do you have?

Currently I have 3 large turbo snails and a conch in my tank. I've seen recommendations of up to 10 turbo snails for a 30 gallon tank. Would you agree? What would be a good limit for my tank? I have a lot of rock surface, so I'd imagine at least 5 would be a good start, but I don't want to over populate and possible starve them! What are some of you using in your tank for algea/detritus control?

Turbo snails get huge! I'd say no more than a couple in a 30g tank. Get smaller snails, like cerith snails. They clean just as well, but don't knock corals over.

here all you can get is turbo's and margarita snails so I understand why you have the turbos.. they are easy to get

I would get no more than 4.. but I'm still a SW noob

you want mix of snails since most eat differant types of algae... if you have a hard time finding snails other than turbo's ive bought snails on ebay before for pretty cheap

or any other mail order will do.....Live Aquaria, Premium Aquatics etc.
