How much do show guppies cost?

A guy from a local fish forum I go to says that they are selling up to the net for 80 dollars for two, but he is selling the highclass show guppies for 10 dollars (Canadian) each. I just wanted to make sure before I go check it out.

People pay outrageous (IMO) prices for show quality guppies. I've heard prices ay higher than 80 dollars for the pair...upwards of 200. If you know your guppies and are willing to shell out the dough 10 dollars each for a "high class show guppy" might be a good price. You just need to know what to look for...and I for one can't really tell the difference

I went to a guppy show and got 5 gups for $11. There were some pairs and trios going for 50-100, but others that were very nice were cheap. My daughter and I are trying to breed gups, but the fancy ones can be a bit sensitive, so I'd expect to lose some in the transition.
