How soon should I see results?

I am using the heat/salt method for ick. I have lost my two Dwarf Gouramis, not sure if the heat was to much for them or if they had ick or not. They were Honey colored and to light ot see any spots or not I have one platty that has tons of spots and this is day three of treating. IF the salt/heat is going to work does anyone know when should I start to see spots disappearing?

What temp do you have the tank at? It can take a few days to a week or two to fully rid your tank of ich. The warmer tank is to speed up the life cycle and then kill the ich when it's in it's free swimming stage. Hang in there, it does take a while.

It is at 88 right now.

I believe with the salt/heat treatment you should have the tank at around 82F. Whenever you raise the temps on the tank, make sure it goes up no more than 1 degree Farenheit per hour, as sudden changes can shock the fish.
